ALMA week is here

Bart Moeyaert is in Sweden for an action-packed week focusing on children’s and YA literature. He will give a public lecture, meet with students and visit Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home in Vimmerby. His visit will conclude with an award ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall on May 27, where H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria will present Moeyaert the award.

Some of the events for the ALMA week in May 21–27:

May 21 (6.00 pm) Award Lecture at ABF-huset (Z-salen) in Stockholm. Free admission

May 22 Visit to Hjulsta Elementary in Tensta

May 23 Visit at Junibacken and The Swedish Academy for Children’s Books in Stockholm

May 24–25 Study visits to Astrid Lindgren’s school and Astrid Lindgren’s Näs in Vimmerby, including a public lecture

May 27 (6.00 pm) Award ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall
H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria presents the award and Minister for Culture and Democracy Amanda Lind will give a speech in honour of the laureate.
