After studying arts and culture at Stockholm University, Annika Lindgren worked for over ten years as editor and editorial director at Böckernas Klubb, a book club. Then she worked as a publishing editor at Prima/Norstedts publishing house. She experienced the world of children's literature through a student job at a children's book club and as an employee of the Swedish children's publishers Eriksson & Lindgren. Today, she deals with copyright issues for Astrid Lindgren’s works. She is also chairman of Solkatten, a foundation established by Astrid Lindgren to distribute money to children's arts projects.
Annika Lindgren has memorable literary experiences from her childhood include quivering with joy when her grandmother Astrid Lindgren read to her and her cousin from A Little Princess. Annika Lindgren likes to see fairytales and stories leave children with a sense that miracles can indeed happen.
Annika Lindgren and her husband have two teenage daughters.
