ALMA Story Hour

During this challenging time, we want to brighten up your lives by offering readings with our jury members. They will pick a book from one of our amazing laureates and read from their homes or work spaces. The ALMA Story Hour takes place on our Facebook page, watch it live or in retrospect!

The reading is in Swedish or English and is suitable for both children, young people and adults. Sit back and enjoy!

April 22 & 24 at 3 pm
The author Katarina Kieri reads from Brown girl dreaming by the 2018 laureate Jacqueline Woodson and It is love we don't understand by the 2019 laureate Bart Moeyaert. In Swedish.

May 7 & 8 at 7 pm
From her home in Åbo, docent of children's literature Maria Lassén-Seger will read aloud from the book Vamoose by the 2016 award-winner Meg Rosoff and Tales from the Inner City by the 2011 award-winner Shaun Tan. In English.

May 15 at 3 pm
From the Grubbe Library in Umeå, Annika Edlund will read from Cloud Bread by this years' lauretae Baek Heena. In Swedish.

May 22 at at 3 pm
From his studio in Stockholm, author Mårten Sandén will read from Bridge to Terabithia by the 2006 award-winner Katherine Paterson.
