Highlights from the award ceremony

Apart from the prize sum of 5 million SEK, Marion Brunet received a diploma, presented by HRH Prince Carl Philip. This year’s diploma is illustrated by Klara Bartilsson and hand texted by Helena Öhman. The compere for the evening was Farah Abadi. Silvana Imam and TUBO provided the entertainment.

− Astrid Lindgren was bold enough to tackle dark topics such as death and abandonment, and took her readers very seriously. She put her talent at the service of literature intended for children, yes, but which speaks to all of us no matter how old we are. I am extremely proud to have my name linked to hers, said Marion Brunet in her acceptance speech.
