Conversation with Eva Lindström
On Tuesday, 24 May, this year's laureate, Eva Lindström, talked about her life, work and inspiration in a conversation with Yukiko Duke. The conversation took place at Södra teatern in Stockholm.
Eva Lindström (b. 1952) is a Swedish picture book artist. She has published some 35 solo titles and has illustrated many books by other authors. She writes stories that shift between the everyday and the existential, combining shrewd humour with absurd mystery. 2022, Eva Lindström was awarded the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
Yukiko Duke is an arts and culture journalist, writer, translator and presenter. She has served as the artistic director of Stockholm Literature, among other roles. She also lectures on literature, reading, Japanese culture and community life.
